One year ago today, March 31, 2008, Talmage William Smith came into our lives. It is impossible to imagine life without this amazing little boy. Typically, the tradition is to give gifts on someone's birthday, but I feel like Talmage has been a gift to us in so many ways. We love his smiles, his belly laughs (note a really cute and soft belly), how he throws a ball, how he cuddles when he is tired, his really healthy and dimply legs, how he likes to "sing" when there is music playing, how he will only drink from a newborn bottle, thet list goes on...he is such a joy to have around and we are so thankful he is a part of our family. Here are a few glimpses from his first few days...

Isn't it so fun remembering (especially if you are now sleeping through the night again!!). I LOVE 1st birthdays!!
