Trick-or-treating in our town is a whole different experience. At the end of the night, Greg told the kids they had trick-or-treated more in that night then he had in his whole life...that may be true judging by how much Greg likes to dress up. It is really fun though to walk around the beautiful streets that are totally decked out. We started the night out with some "fremont" friends (after the crazy, get the costume on before dark routine). Nathan was taking the Luke Skywalker dress up to the max. It was not an easy task getting him out of that tree. The call of the candy did prevail and off we went. One of the highlights was the white witch. She sprinkles your foot with fairy dust on her special stone and you can stir the smoky brew-all by yourself. Check out her hat. I think that was a real animal once. Sarah loved getting to see Miss Phyllis, her preschool teacher. We got home and the kids fell asleep in record time-candy and all. It was a really fun night. I had to get a tinge of sadness when I realized that this may be our last Halloween in Los Angeles. I guess we are starting the weary stroll of "lasts" as we wind down to the finish line. Maybe I am not as excited to finish as I once thought. Anyway, it was a Happy, Happy Halloween.
